What Is INCK – For Organizations?

Why am I here? What is the purpose of this site? Why should I create an INCK group for my organization?

INCK has many purposes, but for starters let’s focus on what it offers to our local community groups, sports teams, service clubs, charities and other non-profit organizations.

How Can INCK Benefit My Organization?

We can answer this question, by asking a few questions:

  • Do you want a place where you can get any message to a large audience – immediately – any time you wish?
  • Do you have trouble getting local media to publish your press releases? – Or don’t have time to write press releases as often as you should?
  • Would you like a place to list your organization’s events, and have them listed on local media sites?
  • Do you have a difficult time recruiting volunteers? Do would-be volunteers know what opportunities you have available?
  • Does all of your target audience even know you exist? Are you visible enough that citizens can discover your organization and become members?
  • Do you have a proper website for your organization? Do you have one at all?

Our goal with INCK is to fill all of these needs.

As vital engines in our community, our clubs and organizations need the ability to communicate effectively with the local population.

By gathering our community groups and non-profits into one location (one network), we are able to create a HUB of local activity where everything can be found in one spot.

Isn’t That What Facebook Does?

Facebook is a discussion about life in general with the people who have “friended” you, or have “Liked” your page.

This creates silos, and does not do a good job of allowing discovery. Usually the vast majority of those who “Like” your page are those who are already well aware of your activities.

Our platform is designed to be an open forum of users with a complete range of interests to allow for greater discovery.

Partnering With Local Media

Local media is also a vital engine in a community. They have the ability to take a message to a broad range of people. In many ways, media’s ability to deliver (or fail to deliver) a message can be a determining factor in how successful your organization is. …And we already know that the success of our communities, depends on your ability to be successful.

INCK gives you the power of the media. By creating a group for your organization, you are able to publish directly to the INCK website anytime you choose. But instead of stopping there, both the Chatham-Kent Daily Post and CKXSFM.com are bringing their websites onto the INCK network, and will be providing a live-feed of your INCK posts to their own homepages as well.

This means that whenever you post something to your INCK group, your message is published on INCK.ca, CKDP.ca and CKXSFM.com.

So you now have the ability to self-publish to the homepages of three local media sites. (How’s that for control?)

Other media organizations are being invited to join our network, and carry your information as well.

CKXSFM and the Chatham-Kent Daily Post will also be offering contesting (See HomePages Contest below) and other fun activities to ensure a large audience visits INCK every day.

Free Websites, Contesting & Promotions, Fundraising Offer…

Websites: In addition to offering group creation, INCK offers any non-profit (or non-commercial) organization free websites. These are not ordinary websites though, because any time you post something new to your website, links to your new content are automatically posted across the INCK website so all users are notified you’ve added info. Links are also automatically generated on CKDP.ca and CKXSFM.com.

Events: INCK offers event listings which is something CK really needs. Any time you are having an event, please create a new event listing on INCK. Again, when you do so, links automatically go to all INCK users, as well as our media partner’s sites.

Volunteer Site: Finding volunteer positions is not as easy as it should be for those seeking to serve their community. We have created a site in our network that allows your organizations to post any volunteer positions you have to offer. Again, when you post a volunteer position to the volunteer site… links are automatically generated across INCK and it’s media partner’s sites. (Are you getting the general idea of how this works now?)

Promotions: We want this site to be successful because we want you to be successful… so we will be offering contesting and other promotions to continually generate interest amongst our audience and keep them coming back. Please opt in to our HomePages contest which will be a big traffic-driver, and will also win one local organization a $5,000 cash prize.

Fundraising Offer: INCK will be supported by advertising from local businesses. We’ve decided that instead of giving a salesperson a commission for referring a customer, we’d rather see that money go to you. So, at your option, you can refer business owners to INCK, and collect the money we’d otherwise pay to our salesperson. This aspect is completely optional for those who want it, and participation in all other aspects of INCK is by no means conditional on acceptance of the fundraising offer. It’s just there if you find it helpful.
